Many times in recent years in the mountains of Chablais I observed shooting on mountain routes, and behaviour of hunters that was sometimes disturbing, eg hunters trying to hide themselves when they saw walkers coming, shots from vehicles posted on roads leading to pastures, hunts not signposted downstream.
It results in unnecessary fright for me and my dogs, on a leash and carrying bells. I'm disgusted to see the panicked chamois running for protection, like the humans.
